It's what I've always longed for
I know, here is not where I belong
The right path, I see, difficult to sight
The haze here is misleading
I need to behold your beacon
I know, here is not where I belong
The right path, I see, difficult to sight
The haze here is misleading
I need to behold your beacon
"YOU'RE SO LOVELY"
It's so lovely
when my heart beats
to my thought when it about you, sings
it's so lovely
'WHAT IS MY CASE?'
I need a sledge hammer
A pickaxe rather
May i not need a boulder?
Why is it like this?
So rigid and stiff
So tough and rough
It's just too hard to doff
To be prettified
By knowledge's gracious hand
May i not beseech Albert
That he may to me, impart
The secret of how he knew no little
May i not beseech Aristotle
To make overt the dern
Of his sapience and ken
Need i voyage to the past?
When my friend and pal
Smiles and exults
After seeing his results
He reads no much as i do
What is left For me to do
Dawn to dusk till after dark
Like the pilgriming clerk in Southwark
I stare at the leaves again and again
But now the result is woe again
Must i break it?
It that shields my brain
And by this i be not slain?
Must i break my spherical brain bone?
To stack in this tome?
Must i eat the books?
But eatable is not how it looks
Which word portrays my case?
Unbelievable?
Strange?
Special?... What other word?
Please tell me please...
What my case is

NO WEEP NO AFRICA
By Olajide auxano Adekunle
The black man's soul
Pierced, now with a large hole
Charged down below
And heart filled with sorrow
Toiled with age
Servants on the colonial stage
After the closure of that page
Comfort to us still a sage
Our dreams was the hope
The hope was the dope
Yet at achievement we still flop
Even black souls at the top
Cursed black us not
From civilization, we hid like in tryst
The trailblazers always face the wrath
And our economic fabric a massive rot
Courageous but not brave
Unlike the Bible's king Dave
Yet rhyming at Poverty's octave
Even with a living, a slave
The fore fathers at work,wept
Our father at their jobs,crept
All this while we their children slept
Having longed for solution in futility at lenght
The slaves wept for Africa
Our colonial masters swept from Africa
Now we weep for Africa
Away! All this weeping we must sweep
Although, no weep now Africa
